1 pkg (2 layer size) devils food cake mix
1 16 oz can pitted dark sweet cherries
1/4 C sugar
2 T cornstarch
1/4 C burgundy
1 8 oz cream cheese - softened
1/4 C sugar
2 T milk
1/4 t vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare cake mix according to pkg directions. Bake in 13 x 9 baking pan. Cool.

Drain cherries, reserving syrup. In saucepan, blend 1/4 cup sugar and cornstarch; gradually add cherry syrup, mixing well. Cook and stir over medium eat till mixture thickens and bubbles. Remove from heat; stir in wine and cherries.

Beat cream cheese, 1/4 C sugar, milk and vanilla until fluffy.

Cut cake into squares. Top each square with a small mound of cream cheese mixture and serve with warm cherry sauce over it.
