2 C sugar
1/2 C milk
1/2 C shortening
4 T cocoa
3 C oatmeal
1/2 C coconut flakes
1 t vanilla
1/2 C nuts * optional

Directions:
Directions:
Bring to boil on stove top in lg saucepan:
Sugar, Milk and Shortening.

Add:
cocoa, oats, coconut, vanilla and nuts

Stir quickly then drop by spoonful onto wax paper to cool.
