1 cup rice
1 cup water
1 quart milk
1/8 lb. butter
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 tesp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Boil water, add rice and cook 7 min
Add 1 qt milk and 1/8 lb butter, cover and cook about 1 hour stirring often until rice in soft.
Add eggs, sugar, raisins & vanilla and cook until eggs are done in mixture. That does not take long.
Put in whatever kind of pudding dish you like and refrigerate or eat warm.

Barbara Walters had a contest for the best rice pudding in the world and this recipe won. It cost the network $10,000 to buy it from the Riveria Hotel. It is worth the watching & stirring if you like rice pudding
