Brownies:
2 C flour
2 C sugar
1 stick of crisco
4 1/2 T cocca powder
1/2 C canola oil
1 C water
2 eggs
1/2 C buttermilk
1 t vanilla
1 t baking soda

Frosting:
1/3 C milk
1 stick crisco
4 heaping T cocoa powder
1 lb powdered sugar
1 t vanilla
1 C chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions:

Mix in bowl - flour and sugar

In saucepan - crisco, cocoa powder, oil, water - bring to a boil - stirring constantly.

Add flour mixture, then add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla and baking soda.

Pour onto greased large cooking sheet with edges.

Bake 18-20 minutes at 400

Frosting:
Using same saucepan, combine milk, crisco, cocoa and bring to a boil. Remove from heat, add powder sugar, vanilla and nuts.

Spread over hot brownies as soon as they come out of oven.
