1 1/2 C elbow macaroni
3 T butter
2 T flour
1/2 t salt
2 C milk
1/4 C finely chopped onion (optional)
8 oz shredded cheese
top with tomato if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Cook macaroni, drain

In saucepan, melt butter, blend in flour, salt and dash of pepper. Add milk. Cook and stir till thick and bubbly. Add onion and cheese, until melted. Mix cheese sauce with macaroni. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and top with sliced tomatoes.

Bake 350 for 35-40 minutes until bubbling or heated.
