1 rack of ribs about 4 pounds,
1 large can sauerkraut,
1 rather large red apple,
1 T. sugar.

Brown ribs for 15 minutes on each side on a rack in the oven at 350º (I do not bother to do this, but is what recipe says). Put a large can of drained sauerkraut in the bottom of crockpot. Add a chopped apple with skin, sprinkle with a little sugar. Put ribs on top and cook for 6 to 8 hours on low. Remove meat from ribs and mix. Serve over or with mashed potatoes.
