2/3 c sugar
2 c milk
4 tbsp corn starch
3 egg yolks
dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Heat to boiling the sugar and milk. Then add remaining ingredients. Beat. On low heat, cook for a few minutes stirring constantly till thick. Add vanilla and cool.
For banana pie: slice banana in crust and pour in filling.
For coconut pie: add 1/2 c coconut
For chocolate pie: add 1 square bitter chocolate to the filling while still warm
For butterscotch pie: heat just 2 cups of milk and add 1 cup brown sugar to egg mixture. add 1 tbsp butter to warm filling.
Pour into baked pie crust and cover with meringue or whipped cream.
