1 pint tomato juice
1 tsp baking soda
1 pint milk
1 tsp butter
salt & pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In sauce pan bring tomatoes juice to boil, lower heat, stir in baking soda. Add milk quickly and stir constantly. Be careful as it can boil over. Add butter, salt and pepper to taste. Can use chopped tomatoes if you like a chunky type soup.
