3 or 4 bananas
6 egg yolks
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
6 tbsp. self rising flour
1 stick margarine
4 c. milk
1 box vanilla wafers
6 egg whites
1/4 tsp. vanilla
6 tsp. sugar

Cook in double boiler stirring often until texture thickens. Pour into a large Pyrex dish. Layer vanilla wafers and thinly sliced bananas ending with layer of wafers into a separate bowl. You will have 3 layers of wafers and 2 layers of bananas. Pour custard over bananas and wafers. Prepare meringue and spread on top.

Add vanilla to sugar and set aside. Beat (with hand mixture) until peak is formed. Add sugar all at once and beat until stiff peaks form. Spread over pudding.
