2 bunches fresh broccoli, divided into bite-size flowerets
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 cups shredded cheese
10-12 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup white sugar
4 tbsp. vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine fresh broccoli, onion, bacon and cheese. Mix mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar and pour over salad at least 1 hour before serving.

This salad is one of our family's favourite. Instead of cooking bacon, I usually buy the pre-cooked and crumbled package to avoid the extra mess of cooking bacon in the house.
