2/3 c. uncooked wild rice, 4 c. cold water with 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. butter, 1/2 c. flour, 2 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, 1 1/2 c. chicken broth, 2 1/4 c. milk, 3 c. cubed cooked white chicken, 1/2 c. fresh mushrooms, 1/2 of a 4 oz. jar of pimentos drained and sliced, 1/2 c. diced green pepper, 1/3 c. slivered almonds, minced parsley for garnish.

Cook the wild rice. In large skillet, melt butter; blend in flour, salt and pepper. Cook until mixture is smooth and bubbly, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in chicken broth and milk. Return to heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, about 1 minute. Add cooked rice and remaining ingredients. Pour into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley before serving.
