1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 well-beaten eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. pecans (chopped and lightly roasted)
4 c. diced raw apples

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Sift together flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, soda and salt. Add this to creamed mixture, stirring well. Stir in nuts and apples. Pour into well-greased and floured pan. Bake 1 hour at 325F.
