Bottom Layer
1 stick of butter or oleo
1 c flour
1/4 c sugar

Top Layer
1 c packed brown sugar
2 eggs beaten
1/3 c flour
1/2 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
1/2 t vanilla
3/4 c dried apricots
1/2 c chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Bottom Layer
Sift into bowl 1 c flour and white sugar. Cut in oleo, using pastry blender or fork until mixture consistency of corn meal and small peas. Pack into pan. Bake 325 for 25 min.

Top Layer
Add brown sugar to beaten eggs. Stir in 1/3 c flour and baking powder and salt, Add vanilla, apricots and nuts. Mix and spread over baked layer. Return to slow oven 325 for 35 min.
Top will be soft. Cool several hours. Cut into squares. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
