1 Lb. ground beef
3/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup sweet green pepper
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 grated carrot(3/4 cup)
2 1/2 cups whole canned tomatoes (undrained)
1 tsp pepper and 3/4 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
brown beef in iron skillet(4 min.)Stir in onion, green pepper, & celery.Fry until brown(8 min) add carrot, tomatoes puree.stir in until good and seasoned with salt and pepper,Simmer 45 min.serve over hot corn bread.
