1 c. margarine
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs - unbeaten
2 c. rolled oats
3/4 c. coconut
1 pkg baking gums
1/2 c. chopped nuts
3/4 tsp grated lemon rind
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/4 tsp baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Combine margarine, sugars, eggs, lemon rind and vanilla. Beat thoroughly. Sift flour with salt, baking powder and soda. Add to margarine mixture and mix well. Add rolled oats, cococut, baking gums and nuts. Mix thoroughly. Drop by teaspoonfuls on to a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 8 - 10 minutes.
