1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup honey
1/3 cup molasses
1/2 cup milk
1 Tb lemon juice
1 Tb lemon zest
2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp aniseed
1/4 tsp each, allspice, cardamom, coriander, nutmeg
1/8 tsp clove

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter. Gradually add honey and molasses, beat until
smooth. Add milk and lemon juice. Mix Well. Combine
remaining ingredients and blend with liquids. Turn into a
buttered, lightly floured 1 pound loaf pan. Bake at 375 F
for 45 to 50 minutes. Top will crack. Cool completely.
Wrap in foil and let mellow in refrigerator for at least 2 days
before eating. Slice while cold and smother with
unsalted butter. Marmalade is nice too.
