cup sugar
cup butter
1 egg
tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour
tsp salt
tsp baking soda
tsp cream of tartar
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
In large mixing bowl cream the cup sugar and the butter with a wooden spoon. Beat in the egg and vanilla. In a small bowl stir together flour, salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Stir into butter mixture with wooden spoon till well mixed. In the same small bowl combine the 2 tbsp sugar and the cinnamon. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll each in sugar cinnamon mixture. Place balls 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes in 375 degree oven.
