Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 c. vinegar (sweet pickle juice, some vinegar and dilute with 1/4 c. water), 1 c. sugar, 4 eggs, 1 T. cornstarch, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. dry mustard, approx 1 cup of Miracle Whip to taste.

Directions:
Directions:
Cook, stirring constantly. When cool, mix with cream or half and half. Mix above with Miracle Whip while still hot.

Notes: I use the pickle juice from my homemade pickles. I pour the sweet pickle juice through a cheese cloth lined strainer. I put 1/4 c. of water in my cup, add the pickle juice and a little vinegar.

Put the eggs in the pan first and whisk them. Add the sugar and most of the vinegar. I put the dry ingredients in a coffee cup and put a little of the vinegar/juice mixture in and make a soft paste and then put in the egg mixture. I have never added half and half, but I do put Miracle Whip in and I usually use about enough to double the volume, but you may vary as desired.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is wonderful for deviled eggs, potato salad etc. It is Grandma Mina Helms recipe from Germany.
