1.5 pounds ham (butt end)
2 cups dried apples
3 T dark brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup butttermilk
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
beef broth

Directions:
Directions:
Boil ham until cooked. Add 2 cups dried apples and brown sugar (about 30 min). Put dumplings 20 minutes before serving. Steam . do not lift lid. Dumplings made by breaking 1 egg into bowl; beat, add 1/2 cup buttermilk. Add 1 cup flour and baking powder. Drop by large Tbsp onto hot broth.
