64 oz. (1/2 gallon) apple cider, 64 oz. (1/2 gallon) cranberry juice, 1 qt. orange juice, 1/4 c. brown sugar, 1-2 tsp. ground cloves, 2 cinnamon sticks.

For alcoholic version, add: 1 gallon of white wine and 2 c. rum.

Add all nonalcoholic ingredients to large pot or crock pot. Stir to dissolve spices over medium heat. Reduce to low and simmer 15-20 minutes. Serve hot with additional cinnamon sticks.

If desired, add white wine and rum about 10 minutes before serving.

This is a traditional English Christmas drink which we tasted at a Tudor dinner. It can be prepared with or without alcohol.
