2 c. plain flour (White Lily)
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
5 tbsp. Crisco
1 cup cold buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 450
Sift together flour. baking powder, soda and salt. Add crisco using pastry blender or dinner fork. Cut the shortening ino the flour until the mixture is coarse. Add the very cold buttermilk.Using the fork mix the buttermilk into the dry indgeidents. The dough needs to be very moist. Add more buttermilk
if needed. Use a spatula to to scrape the dough out on a well floured board. Push some of the flour up to the edge of the dough. Fold dough over a couple of times. take your hands and pat dough out to 1/2 in. and cut out biscuits and place in a well pan that has been greased with criso.Bake for 15-20 min.

The only problem you will have with these biscuits is figuring out different things you can put on them so you can eat more.
