1 cup Shortening
2 cup Sugar
4 Egg Yolks-well beaten
3 cups Flour
1/2 t Salt
3 t Baking Powder
1 cup Milk
3/4 t Vanilla
4 Egg Whites-beaten stiff

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening and sugar into a cream. Mix cream with egg yolks. Mix flour, salt and baking powder. Combine all mixes with milk, vanilla and fold in egg white.

Icing:
2 cups Sugar
1/2 cup Pineapple Juice
1/2 t Salt
2 T Karo
1 t Vanilla

Cook, then add 1/2 stick oleo and crushed pineapple.
