Boil

1 cup raisins
1 cup water
salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar



Add

2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. mace


Icing:

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup canned milk
1 tbsp. butter
dash salt

Directions:
Directions:
Boil first five ingredients for 5 minutes. Let cool.
Add next set of ingrdients and
Bake cake for 30 minutes at 350.
Boil icing ingredients for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat and beat until almost thick. Pour over cake.
