1-24 to 28 oz can yams
1 12-16 oz can apple pie filling
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Drain yams. Melt butter and add to yams to mash. Add reserved yam liquid if necessary to make yams smooth. Blend in brown sugar and 1/2 the apple filling. Check for sweetness. Add the remaining apple filling if you desire . Spray casserole dish and bake uncovered in 350 oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Add a small dollop of butter to top if desired before serving.
