In skillet, sautÚ mushrooms and onions in butter. Blend in cream cheese and allow to cool. Spread out each package of rolls into one long, flat piece. Pinch serrated edges together and roll lightly to form two rectangles. Spread with mushroom filling and roll from long side to form pinwheels. Freeze to set (about 15 minutes). Slice and place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350║ until golden (about 12 minutes).

You can freeze pinwheels for up to 3 weeks and bake as needed.

For extra fun, add food coloring to the mushroom filling. However, be careful doing this around Christmas, as people tend to think that the green ones are actually sugar cookies, and end up with a big surprise.
