2 c. white sugar, 6 T. shortening, 2 eggs, 2 c. milk, 4 T. cocoa, 2 1/2 c. flour, 2 tsp. baking soda, 2 tsp. vanilla.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and beat again. Add alternating milk, cocoa, flour and baking soda. Add vanilla and mix well.

Bake at 350 for 1/2 hour or more.

Makes a 9 X 12 pan or a cookie sheet.
