1 whole chicken cut up (you can use breasts and thighs)
2 tbs. Shortening
1 clove garlic
1 medium onion
3 tbs. soy sauce
3 tbs. vinegar
2 bay leaves

Directions:
Directions:
In a large skillet brown garlic and onion in shortening. Brown
chicken in shortening. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 5
minutes. Add 2 cups of water, vinegar, soy sauce, bay leaves
and salt and pepper to taste. Add more vinegar, soy sauce and
seasoning if needed. (Once again this is where Ted would put his
signature on it). Cook 45 minutes to 1 hour (or longer).

Serve with rice (Dad always made Rice Pilaf). If you donít serve
it with lumpia you will be missing out!!
