1 Cup Margarine
1 Cup Shortening
4 egg yolks
2 tsp. Vanilla
4 egg whites, unbeaten
1 tsp salt
1 1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tsp almond flavor
4 cup flour
2 cups chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine, shortening, sugar and flavorings and egg yolks. Add flour and salt. Roll into walnut size balls and dip in the unbeaten egg whites and roll in chopped nuts. Place about 2 inches apart on cookie sheets and press the centers down with thumb. Put 1/2 tsp. red jelly in the center and bake for 20 minutes at 350.
