1 c. sifted all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
2 tbsp shortening
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. milk
1 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp butter
1 3/4 c. boiling wqter

Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly grease a casserole dish.(1 1/2 qt size). sift together flour, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl. Add sugar. Cut shortening into small pieces. Add to dry ingredients. Blend together until mixture is mealy, using pastry blender (or two knives using scissor like motion). Add raisins then gradually add milk stirring lightly with fork. Mix only until blended. Turn batter into prepared baking dish. Mix brown sugar, butter and boiling water. Pour over batter. Bake in over preheated to 375 for 30 - 35 minutes. Serve warm with sauce from baking dish.
