3 c sliced apples
1/3 tsp cinnamon
3/8 c. water
1 tsp lemon juice
3/4 c sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. grated cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Place apples in greased baking pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon, add water and lemon juice. Combine sugar, flour and salt. Cut in butter, as in pastry making. Add cheese. Spread mixture over apples. Bake in moderate oven (350) about 50 minutes until apples are tender or crust is lightly browned.
