4 1/2 c. sliced pared apples
1/2 c sugar
2 tsp lemon juice
2 tbsp water
4 tbsp butter (1/4 c.)
1/3 c. brown sugar firmly packed
1/3 c. flour
2/4 c. oats

Directions:
Directions:
Grease a deep baking dish. Prepare apples, measure and arrange in prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with sugar. Combine lemon juice and water. Pour over apples. Cream butter and gradually add sugar. Blend in flour and oats. Spread over apples. Bake in oven preheated to 375 until applease are tender (approx. 35 minutes). Serve Warm.
