1/2 lb butter or margerine (best with butter)
3 cups sugar
6 eggs, separated
3 c plain flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
q/4 tsp salt
1 c sour cream
2 T Vanilla, butter and nut flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Have all ingredients at room temperature. Cream butter and sugar together in mixer, add ygg yolks, and beat until smooth; then add sour cream and blend in. Sift flour about 3 times before measuring - then sift flour, salt, and soda together. Add dry ingredients to other mixture slowly and blend well. Beat egg whites until they hold a point, then fold into other mixture. Pour mixture into well greased and floured bundt pan and bake at 325 for 1 1/2 hours.

Real butter and the vanilla, butter and nut flavoring are the secret to this wonderfully fragrant and moist cake. It is my all time favorite pound cake.
