2 C sugar, 2/3 C butter, 4 eggs, 3-1/4 C flour, 4 tsp baking powder, 1 C milk, 1 tsp vanilla.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar 'til fluffy. Add eggs, well beaten. Add alternately small quantities of milk & dry ingredients sifted together. Add vanilla. Bake about 20 min. in 350 oven. When cool, frost with frosting made of: 4 Tbsp butter, 1 Tbsp vanilla, 4 Tbsp cream, confectioners sugar. Combine the butter, cream & vanilla; add box of conf. sugar and beat until smooth.
