4-5 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Water to cover chicken

Dumplings:

2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. ice water
4 tbsp. shortening

1 stick margarine
1 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cook chicken in water until tender. Cut chicken breasts in bite-size pieces. Strain broth and return 3 cups of broth to Dutch oven.

Mix ingredients for dumplings in bowl. Place dough on floured towel and roll out thin. Cut into strips and drop into boiling broth. After all the dumplings have been added, add the chicken and margarine. Cook for 15-20 minutes. Add milk. Cook for an additional 5-10 minutes. Serve with cornbread muffins.
