2 packages yeast
cup scalded milk
1/3 cup shortening
3 cups flour
cup warm water
cup sugar
2 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Soak yeast in warm water for 5 minutes. Pour cooled milk over sugar. Beat until smooth. Beat in shortening and eggs. Add flour and mix to a soft dough. Turn out onto floured board and knead vigorously for five minutes. Place in a bowl and cover. Et rise half hour. Roll out. Let rise a little while. Cut into strips and fry in deep fat. Frost with glazed sugar frosting. This dough may also be used for coffee cake. From Pauline Dockter.
