4 cups ground pecans
4 cups sugar
2 egg whites
butter the size of an egg
1/2 cup honey

Directions:
Directions:
Mix pecans and sugar. Add eggs, butter and honey and knead well. Spread on a well greased baking sheet, pressing down until evenly spread.
Bake at 350F for 20 minutes or until light brown. Remove from oven and let cool for about 1/2 hour then cut into squares (using a heated knife helps). It is difficult to remove from pan. Nan Ruth usually placed pan on very low heat and removed one piece at a time with a knife.
