1 lb pecans
1 c white sugar
1/2 t cinnamon
6 T milk
1/4 t salt
1 t vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 350. spread nuts in a single layer over a baking sheet. roast for about 6-10 minutes or until nuts start to trun brown and the smell or rossting nuts fills the kitchen. Watch closely so the do not burn.
Stir together sugar, cinnamon, salt and milk in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium high heat for 8 minutes or until 238 degrees F. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Add pecans to sugar syrup and stir to coat well. Spoon nuts onto waxed paper. Separate nuts with a fork. Cool.
