4 cups chopped apples
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Butter shallow baking dish. Put in apples, sprinkle with salt. Mix sifted flour, cinnamon and sugar; mix in butter until crumbly and spread on apples and bake uncovered in moderate oven until done. Serve warm with whipped cream.
