1 1/2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup pet milk
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, separated, use whites for meringue
dash of salt
baked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Melt 1/4 cup sugar in heavy skillet until golden brown. Add 1/2 cup water and boil until sugar is dissolved. Mix 3/4 cup sugar and flour together. Beat egg yolks and add to milk. Heat milk until hot; add browned sugar plus sugar and flour mixture; cook until thickened. Add butter, vanilla and salt. Pour into baked pie shell. Use whites of eggs for meringue.
