1 cup cornmeal
1/3 cup sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup finely chopped onion

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together cornmeal, flour, salt, baking powder and soda. Stir in onion. Add milk, mixing well. Drop batter by teaspoonfulls into hot deep fat (375) frying only a few at a time. Fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Makes one 1 1/2 dozen.
