2 cups sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup Crisco
3/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl. Cut Crisco into flour with pastry blender or fork until mixture looks like coarse cornmeal (finer than for pastry). Add milk and stir just enough to hold dough together. Transfer dough to floured board or pastry canvas. Knead lightly a few times. Roll dough 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Cut with biscuit cutter dipped in flour before each cutting. Place biscuits on greased cookie sheet. Bake in hot oven at 425 for 12 to 15 minutes or until brown as desired. Makes 6 large biscuits
