2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup softened butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Combine flour, salt and soda in bowl and set aside. Combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, softened butter or margarine and vanilla and beat until creamy. Add eggs and beat. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes at 375. Makes 100 2 inch cookies
