2 lbs. ground beef
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce and 1cup water or
1 can diced tomatoes (I usually use both)
1/4 cup catsup
1 can (15 oz.) red kidney or pinto beans (I use Chili beans)
Chili seasoning
salt (optional)
2 tbsp. onion flakes
1 tbsp. garlic powder (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Crumble and brown ground beef in large skillet or pot. Drain fat. Stir in the tomatoes and catsup. Add beans. Blend in seasonings. Simmer 10 minutes or longer. Chili may be poured over fritos and topped with shredded cheese for frito chili pie. May also be served wtih cooked macaroni; may also be topped with sour cream, shredded cheese, onions, hot chilis or guacamole. Ground pork or turkey may be substituted for the ground beef.
