3 lbs. okra
12 heads of dill or may use dill seed(1 tsp. per pint)
3 cups vinegar
3 cups water
6 tbsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Use small tender pods of okra. Cut with as much stem as possible. Wash and drain. Prick each pod with pin or sharp fine pointed knife to allow solution to enter pod. Pack okra into sterlized jars. Place a small bunch of dill in each jar with okra. Boil water, vinegar and salt together until salt is dissolved. Fill jars with boiling brine to within 1/2 inch of top. Put on cap screw firmly tight. Process in boiling water bath 5 min. Kosher Dill may be made by adding 1/2 to 1 clove garlic (sliced) and 1/2 tsp. mustard seed to bottom of each pint jar.
