1 qt. strawberries, washed and drained
1 1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 cup cold water
1 tbsp. lemon juice
red food coloring
1 baked pastry shell

Directions:
Directions:
Bring to a boil, sugar and water. Dissolve cornstarch in 3/4 cup cold water, add syrup to mixture, stirring constantly. Cook about 10 minutes. Blend in salt, lemon juice and red food coloring. Pour over strawberries. Mix gently. Cool. Place in baked pie shell.
