1 1/2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
pinch of salt
2 tbsp. cornstarch
6 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Heat whole milk to hot. Mix sugar, salt, cornstarch and cocoa; add evaporated milk. Beat egg yolks slightly (save whites for meringue). Add to mixture; then add to hot milk and cook until thick; Add vanilla and butter. Pour into baked pie shell. Beat egg whites until stiff, add 2 tbsp. sugar to each egg and 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar; continue to beat until sugar is dissoved. Put on pie filling and bake about 15 minutes at 350 or until browned as you prefer.
