9-Inch Unbake pie shell
Sweet Potato Filling
1 large egg
1 1/2 mashed, cooked fresh sweet potato
1/4 cup sugar
2tlbs unsalted butter or margarine softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground allspice
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg

Pecan Topping
2 large eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 dark corn syrup
2 tlbs unsalted butter or margarine, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
dash ground cinnamon
1 cup pecan halves
1/2 cup heavy cream, whipped

Prepare pie shell: set aside
make sweet potato filling in medium bowl, with with mixer, beat egg until frosty, add 1/4 tsp salt and remaining filling ingredients. beat at medium speed until mixture is smooth about 2-minutes.
make pecan topping in medium bowl with mixer beat eggs until frothy. add sugar, corn syrup, butter, bvanilla and cinnamon, beat at low speed just until the mixture is well blended about 1-minute. stir in pecans. preheat oven 350
put sweet potato filling in bottom of unbaked pie shell spreading evenly. pour pecan topping ove top bake 60 to 70 minutes, until knife inserted in center comes back clean. remove from oven and cool.
