Make a liquid of:
2 cups water
3 cups sugar
2 cups vinegar
2 tbsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Put a large head of dill and 1 garlic bud into each jar. Slice cucumbers 1/8 in. thick into jars. Pour boiling liquid over cucumbers and seal. Put into hot water bath. Bring to a boil. Remove lid and let pickles cool in canner with lid off.
