1 lb package of frozen puff pastry - comes in 2 sheets
1 egg beaten in a small bowl for egg wash
½ lb blue cheese
1 tbl paprika
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
¼ cup sesame seeds
flour

THAW PUFF PASTRY IN THE FRIDGE

Preheat oven to 400
Mix the paprika and cayenne in a small bowl
Work one sheet at a time leaving the other in the fridge
Unfold onto a floured board
Roll in one direction until sheet is twice as long as board
Brush half with the egg wash, crumble the cheese and sprinkle spices
Fold over edge to edge and lightly roll together
Cut into long one inch strips
One at a time brush both sides with egg wash
Sprinkle with sesame seeds
Twist each pastry strip onto a parchment covered baking sheet about 2” apart (I’ve just put on a sprayed cookie sheet and that’s been fine)
Bake until golden brown

You can also make cheddar sticks or sugar and cinnamon sticks….

This takes a few tries to make them look nice, unless you are experienced with puff pastry!
