1 cup yellow corn meal
1/2 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup milk
1 egg beaten
3 tlbs vegetable oil or shortening
1 tsp sugar (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 , place oil in round cake pan or skillet. combine corn meal and dry ingredients in a bowl. add milk and sugar and stir add oil to mixture and mix. pour into prepared pan bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
For corn sticks us corn stick pan.
